  • Before I go on my personal anecdote soap box. I just have to say, Kitten Lady, you do an amazing job, and you have to battle with some tough tough decisions. You are one tough cookie! Keep doing what you do and take care of yourself. If people care about you talking about poop they can watch another video. Personal anecdote “rant” for others: My family adopted a special needs kitten once. When my sister found him he was all alone with no family and trying to cross a busy street. His eyes were crusted shut with gunk. (He actually had inverted eyelids, we would find out later.) We also found out at the vet that he had stool compacted all the way up to his chest. (Not sure if they were just trying to make a point when they said that/how accurate that is but that’s what the vet told us.) He was so compacted he couldn’t even move his back legs to walk. He had to do this sort of hopping thing. Luckily his enemas and treatments were effective. This video really hit home for me. I’ve had a kitten with special needs and I’ve had geriatric animals that are almost to their time and there are some super super tough decisions that have to be made. It’s hard to know what is better for them. Can they live happily albeit with difficulties? Will they be suffering if I take them home? If I made the call to put them down to ease their pain, what if I was wrong? (The hardest part for me is when they get old, it can be hard to tell if they are going to round the bend and feel better tomorrow or in a couple days or if that is going to be their reality from now on.) It’s really really hard stuff, when you just want your animal family to have the best quality of life for as long as they can without physical and emotional suffering. The best we can do is love on them and try our best to advocate them and keep them as comfortable and happy as possible. I currently don’t have any baby animals but I have two “middle-aged” dogs and one “old girl.” Old girl came to us with problems, she has a collapsed trachea and is partially blind and deaf. She also has an enlarged heart and her hips and legs look like she was involved in a trauma accident before we got her and they healed incorrectly. She is the happiest and most loving dog I’ve ever met. She goes to the vet a lot and has lots meds she needs to take regularly. She has pee accidents occasionally but I don’t think she can tell when they happen because of her trauma accident, so we just have to have plastic underneath her favorite blankets and rinse her bottom so she doesn’t get raw and irritated skin. It’s hard work at times but it always always worth it to see that happy cozy dog.

  • My daughter has a kitten that was born without back feet. She has done so well. She runs and jumps. She is grown now, she is a sweet cat. She wants to stay outside so she stays on the back deck. She will want to be inside as it gets cold.

He is still living !!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I take olive oil and magnesium hydroxide. You can try. Its a miracle he is living. Thanks to you. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

  • This is so horrific we need to talk about inbreeding to the extreme in colonies as trap and nueter continues cats get more inbred every year till they are so inbred they are born with no legs, no tails a manx spina bifida, we are seeing this all over America. We saw one like this in my town, cats do not go far to mate and find unrelated dna they breed with father brother etc, in a few years no more kittens will not be born normal. I wish you would talk about what will happen when populations drops before 500 you will have extinction. Inbreeding causes a weakened immune system see how healthy feral cats are in egypt and can live in filthy situations in Egypt.

I am so glad and i think you guys are amazing at what you do and thank you for not giving up on James and babies like him. Too often putting them down seems to be the 1st recommendations from Vet's and it's so sad.. 😢😢 You guys rock and don't worry about trolls, they're just school yard bullies who have nothing better to do than to be nasty. Their lives must be so miserable.. You guys do so much good and you really make a big difference.. Thank you!! ❤❤❤ How is James now??? It is September 15th 2020

  • Two years before I was born (1978) my mom gave birth to a baby at 27 weeks gestation. He lived for two hours. They didn’t have the equipment and the technology and the understanding and the knowledge back in 1976 that they do now. That was over 40 years ago and now preemies at 27 weeks have fighting chance of making it. There was a baby who survived being born at 23 weeks gestation back in 2018. I am not comparing humans to cats but I’m just saying that technology is getting better and better and we’re learning more and more and it’s just amazing to think about where we’re going to be in 10 or 20 years from now.

  • You are an absolute light in the darkness! ♥️ I love your dedication to these kittens who have nobody else. I’m also so thankful to the people who donated! You have become such an important part of these kittens lives as well!! Think of the amazing pet families that can stem from the lives of these kittens they adopt! Every living thing deserves a chance and I am amazed at the results and the LIVES Kitten Lady, her resources and the people who donate have saved and created! This is what I love to see, especially in these times where most stories end in nothing but sadness. Live a long and happy life, James!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

  • Poor kitty. I have a kitty with no tail with constipation issues and we give her miralax to keep her regular. Vet thinks the surgery that removed the stump of tail that was left (stray attacked by dog) damaged her poop hole and muscles that help her poop. I hope your kitty recovers well and stays as healthy as possible.

  • I completely understand. Ok brought my patches at to his regular vet and oncology vet every other week. He had bone csmcer. For 6 months i was his mom and nurse. Giving him Iv's and pumping his tummy to poop and peer. For six months. Then it was time to send him to rainbow bridge.

  • People get that issue too with diarrhea if a person is too constipated, my own daughter had this issue due to birth defects affecting her bowel. As a baby, she ended up having to have her on 3 different types of things at adult doses for her bowels as she had no real ability to push poop out . One being paraffin oil should be okay for pets. Kitten needs at least every day be having something to lube things up and something to soften things (and if issue is very bad may need daily enemas too, the key with dealing with severe bowel issues is to not allow things to build up in the first place)
