Probiotics are a tool that should be in EVERY foster parent's toolkit! Probiotics are gut-healthy bacteria that help restore GI balance, and keep cats and kittens healthy. I recommend Bene-Bac PLUS, a fantastic probiotic I've been using for years, which is available as either a powder or a gel! In this video I'll tell you why I love it, and show you how to use it so that you can incorporate it into your kitten care strategy, too.

  • We have a 4m kitten with "issues" related to gradually changing her to new food. I'm kicking myself for not thinking of probiotics for her, especially since she was on abx at 12w for inflamed intestines. Thank you for helping so many people prevent issues in the first place with their kittens. We'll start her on some today. I'm a little disappointed our vet didn't mention this when prescribing abx. A good reminder for pet guardians to research things.

  • 7:02 I don't think cats are that different to humans that gut bacteria would get into breastmilk, that doesn't make any sense, milk would not normally contain bacteria unless there is an infection in the breast (I assume cats can get mastitis too, I know cows can). I can see that a healthier mother benefits her babies and the right milk for the species (instead of modified cow milk we use for formula) has a lot of benefits for healthy babies but to phrase it as the probiotic will transfer to the kittens via breast milk is a misleading way to phrase it.

  • I'm so grateful that I found your channel. When I was younger, I had a pet cat I adored, but she was feral and I was young and naive and didn't know better, and I made the horrible decision to give her to a shelter. I like to think she got adopted out and my mom tells me she did, but there's no way for me to know now. I feel like I could've done more and to this day I regret it. Now, we're fostering new kittens and to make up for my past mistakes, as well as to make sure they have happy lives, I'm making sure to do plenty of research, ask tons of questions and talk to vets frequently. I couldn't have known to do any of this without you. You have no idea how much you've helped me. Thank you so much. To anyone who read all this, thank you and if you've made any mistakes similar to mine, don't blame yourself if you didn't know better. Learn from your mistakes and protect animals with the information you have now.

  • I'm reaching out because I have a semi-feral cat, 7 months, that lives in my backyard. One of my cats, around 8 years, loves to play with him in our yard. 3 days ago we had him neutered and taken into our home. He moved in well, but the cat that loved to play with him is acting very aggressive towards him. He's very confused and even attacking randomly. Do you know what I should do? That would really help because I just want them to get along.

We don’t have a heating pad so we used some cloth to try to keep her kittens warm and dipped cotton in milk and had them suck on it . Any advice on what to do until the mother comes back if she even will Thanks

Two of the five kittens I'm fostering have some issues, one who's not growing well at all and another with a distended (but soft) belly and not gaining as much as he should. All have been dewormed with three different meds. They all got this gel and am hoping it helps. Thanks for the well timed, very important information. I ordered the powder for my older cat with IBS and she snarfed it down with her food this morning! Thank you SO much. My babies thank you too!!

    • You can get formula at your local Petsmart. Go for KMR kitten replacement formula. You should also contact your local rescues they will be able to guide you and come check in on them. But also a trip to the vet may be needed to make sure all is well. There are tons of USworlds videos on kitten care. Please do all you can to help these kitties out. They need you. Make sure they have a warm place to be and shelter.

  • 🙏🙏 Please someone answer my question! I use clumping cat litter. My cat's lower parts and stomach always gets some urine and bits of litter stuck on it once he's done peeing. I am scared of what happens when he licks himself to groom. Does the litter clump in his body?! 😱 I try to gently clean him everytime he uses the box but it's not always possible. If there is any solution please let me know. Should I mix the litter I have with a non clumping one?

  • Your gut bacteria multiplies on its own just fine. Just eat and the bacteria that help process that food will multiply. Have you verified the bacteria in this product are actually a match to that in a kitten's digestive track? Why do you have to ingest bacteria instead of just giving them food to reproduce and multiply? You say it "helps restore GI balance," how did you determine the GI balance had been disrupted and what caused it? This is such a sad cash grab. :(

However, she looks pretty healthy and is currently enjoying life and birdwatching from the window :D

      Pigeon ProductionsPigeon ProductionsMonth ago
    • I know I'm not Kitten Lady, but your cat should be fine, they might have some poops for a day or so. If the yogurt had chocolate or something you're unsure about in it, call an emergency vet and ask about the ingredients. If your cat really doesn't look good, consider bringing it to the vet. I'm a kennel assistant with my own special needs cats, we deal with stuff like this all the time. I hope your cat is okay.
